Lullabies that will Hide His Word in Your Heart

This is amazing. I’ve listened to a lot of Scripture in song and I often feel like it just isn’t right somehow - but this! I’m listening to the promos and a I want to weep. Literally. It is so beautiful.

Ah, the power of God's Word. Love it.

Desktop Wallpaper

So, oddly enough, I seem to be posting a lot this week. I must have more time than I thought! Anyway, here is one more reason to check out Revive Our Hearts. The desktop wallpaper! I love these wallpapers and I’ve gone through several of them. This new wallpaper may just be my favorite of all (although I have become really attached to both the “Thirst” wallpaper and the “Legacy” wallpaper). The new wallpaper is of 2 Peter 1 and I love it, love it, love it!

Then download it.

Then join with Nancy in memorizing the verses. (By the way, today's progam is again about self-control. Remember we are to be diligent! I wrote the phrase on our school white board because I love it so much. Be diligent!)

P.S. Please keep the people of Haiti in your prayers. One of our dear friends lost her mother in the earthquake and there are so many others…

I’m always amazed at how suddenly life can turn upside down. I’m not sure why this is always shocking to me, but it is. It is a good reminder that we must live our lives with eternity in view.

The Best Part of the Day

is spent immersed in the Word of God. Over the last year (2009) I read through God’s word chronologically from beginning to end. It was the best part of my day. I’m doing it again. Join me if you dare.

From Psalm 119

Your testimonies are wonderful; Therefore my soul keeps them.

The unfolding of Your words gives light; it imparts understanding to the simple.

I open my mouth and pant, because I long for Your commandments.

Turn to me and be gracious to me, as is Your way with those who love Your Name.

Keep steady my steps according to Your promise, and let no iniquity get dominion over me.

Redeem me from man’s oppression, that I may keep Your precepts.

Make Your face shine upon your servant, and teach me Your statutes.

My eyes shed streams of tears, because people do not keep Your law.

-Psalm 119:129-136
