2009: The Year in Review

So...are you still trying to figure out how to start the New Year? Are you still writing down goals, prayers, and desires? Lose 10 pounds. Be more consistent. Eat healthier? Be nicer to so and so. Pay off a few debts or get out of debt all together. Potty train your two year old (one of my goals). Well, here are a few (wonderful) tips from Doug Phillips (Vision Forum) that you might want to implement first. And my personal tip - if you haven't surrendered your life to Christ that is the place to start. Make the surrender of yourself (including your need to control everything, wants, desires, hopes, dreams, etc.) your personal gift to God for the New Year. I can guarantee that you will not regret it and it will make attaining those other goals (like being nice to so and so) that much easier because you will not have to attain those things in your own strength...you will be doing them or not as God wills and with the help of the Holy Spirit. Be prepared though because once you let go and say "yes, Lord" God will take over and the ride of your life will begin.

Note: The title "The Year in Review" refers to reviewing the year you and your family just lived not Vision Forum's year in review. If you are short on time, or happen to be a skimmer instead of a reader, skip to part III as it is the most important part of all and without it you will not have a very happy or productive 2010.
